Terrafugia Transition cruising speed in the air is 115 mph, with a 460 mile range. It requires 1/3 mile runway to take off and can fit in a standard garage.

Walk up to a car door, open up a car door, get in and sit in a car seat. How cool is that, if you’ve climbed in and out of small airplanes before you realize what a nice feature that is. In side the cockpit of the Terrafugia you have all the normal displays as a normal airplane, and a normal car. A little bit about the controls… when in the road mode, there is a steering wheel, gas pedal, and a brake. When you change into airplane mode, your feet go out on 2 rudder pedals, the stick comes up from the floor and folds up, then you have a stick, throttle, and rudder pedals, just like any other airplane, so that any pilot can fly it. Any driver can drive it… and any pilot can fly it.

I want to pull up to somebody’s driveway and unfold the wings and have an airplane in their drive…and wonder how it got there.

I have had a pair of these gloves for about a month now. They feel great to wear, and also look good too.

I used to constantly take my gloves off and on, to get out keys, and do little things I couldn’t with bulky gloves on. I found with these ColdSnap gloves I can just about grab or use anything I need to.

The best use so far has been for Snowmobile gloves! Yes, they are absolutely perfect for snowmobiling. A great grip is very important when riding, and most other winter gloves don’t offer such a great grip. They also offer just the right amount of cold protection. Since most snowmobiles have heated grips these days, you don’t need extra think gloves. The Tool Handz ColdSnap fit the bill perfect.

Tool Handz ColdSnap are made by Black Stallion of Revco Industries

The BeerTender works with kegs made by Heineken. As of now you can only get Heinken and Heineken Light kegs. (I have tried one keg of each and I prefer Heineken over Heineken Light) Supposedly they are coming out with different beers in the near future. You may see other mini-kegs available, but the difference is that the Heineken DraughtKeg is pressurized.

The BeerTender is really a small fridge that surrounds the keg and keeps the beer at the optimal temperature of 39 degrees. There is an indicator light on the top of the machine that will light up once this temperature has been reached.

The ideas is to mix the right temperature and pressure for the best beer experience. And who doesn’t want that! It says the beer will stay fresh for up to 30 days once tapped.

It is very simple to use, takes maybe a minute to install a new keg into the BeerTender. Watch the video below for a demonstration of how to change a keg out on the BeerTender.

I have dimmer switches on just about every light in my house. I really love it. We were setting up some of our many Christmas trees around the house and I knew there had to be dimmer switches for Christmas lights that you could buy at any local mart.

To my surprise there were no such products readily available. I did later on find some online, but who wants to wait? When you can build one yourself cheap and easy!

I found a site that detailed exactly what I wanted to do. I followed their directions to the letter.

You need a basic dimmer switch, probably around $6, a short household extension cord $1.50, and an electrical box, these are about 45 cents. You will also need 2 wire nuts, I already had those, but will only cost you a few cents if you need to buy some.

Basically you want to spice the dimmer between one of the wires on your new extension cord and enclose the wiring inside the box.

It took only about 5 minutes of “wiring” it was done and worked just as I had imagined.

The other bonus to having your lights running at a dimmed level is it increases the life of your lights, and saves you some $ on electricity!

Want to make one too? Check out this site for the directions that I followed.
http://www.myramp.us/diy/

Check out the video below to see some dimming in action!

So I found this bottle of “hot sauce” in our kitchen a while back, do not know where we originally bought it. Put just a few drops on my taco at first, because I was not sure what to expect. Wow, really made that taco zing and it tasted great, was a nice spicy hot, not just a hot-hot, if you know what I mean.

Next thing you know I am putting the stuff on pizza, scrambled eggs, and spaghetti. Just can’t get enough of it! I was coming up with things to eat, just so I could put some Cajun Sunshine on it.

Before you know it, the bottle ran out! Searched around at the local supermarkets. No one carried it. Well, plan B is always the internet. Whew…found it online and ordered 3 more bottles. One is already half gone!

The bottle says to “use it right from the bottle on just about anything.” And that is my goal

I suggest you give it a try, you will not regret it!

I love products when you can pronouce every ingredient, and they fit on a single line!

Vinegar, red peppers, salt, water and vegetable gum

Quiet Heat and Even Heat

You will be amazed at the radiant heat these can deliver. Give it a few minutes to warm up and you will soon feel it from across a room. Nice quiet and even heat. This type of heater is not the cheapest you will find, nor the most portable, so not the best if you need a portable lightweight heater.

When my daughter was born, the room we put her crib in had 2 outside walls and was in corner of the house farthest from the furnace. Those factors made the room feel cold, and no one ever wanted to spend much time in it. I put an oil filled heater in her room and it was always filled with a nice comforting warm heat. It really changed the feel of the room.

My office is in the basement, which is always a little chilly. I originally bought myself a nice fan forced tower heater, it even had a remote control. The heater works very well, but I found I would get really warm, and shut if off, and within a few minutes felt cold again. It would heat a room well, but it did not provide a nice even heat for my work area.

I now use a Honeywell model that has 3 levels of heat (1500W, 900W, and 600W), a thermostat, and a timer. (The one in the picture looks identical to the one I use). One of the nice features of the oil is that it will stay warm for a very long time after it shuts off. The benefit of this is that if I start to feel too warm and shut it off, the heat still slowly radiates so there isn’t a sudden removal of heat, it is a slow decline.

You can dry your own corn by spreading it out on a tray in your oven, setting it to warm and waiting a couple days.

A half cup of dried corn will re-hydrate to yield one cup. Dried corn can be used in soups and stews, eaten as a snack, or ground as cornmeal.
